A Kei Car Coming My Way
November 30, 2006 on 3:38 pm | In Everything, La Vida Inaka | 7 CommentsTomorrow, I’ll be driving home my new *for me, at least* kei car. It’s a Suzuki Works. I thought they said it was a ’95 car, but when I checked specs on a site, the only ones that came in its color are for the 1998-2000 models. Here’s the site, and the red one is the best image I can find online.
*edit!* I only looked forward, not backwards! My car is a 1994 model. Here’s the site.
The interior looks like your average used car but…that’s what seat covers were made for!
The Works models are apparently little bad-ass kei cars for the cool conscious types. What’s going to be really wierd is that my neighbor’s driveway, across the little gravel road from my house (about ten feet from my own driveway), has the EXACT same car. To lessen the confusion, one of the first things I’m going to do is put my “Kansas State University Alumni” sticker on the rear windshield. If there’s still enough confusion, I always have my Weezer sticker, but, yeah, I’m not in college anymore. I will be driving this to school, so I need to try to look at least a little *sigh* professional.
But just a little bit.
Oh right, and if I don’t post after this, it’s because I will have forgotten what side of the street I was supposed to be on at an unfortunately inopportune time as I drive it from the dealership.
Know that I loved you all!
…
Now where is my international driver’s license?
Whuuaaaattt?? I Can Blog at Work Again?
November 30, 2006 on 11:49 am | In Everything | 1 CommentWow, when did that happen? I could have sworn that the admin section of my site was blocked on these school computers! Well! What do you know!
…
I shouldn’t get too overjoyed. It’ll probably be back to being banned tomorrow.
I was finding out that a lot of sites that I thought were blocked were no longer (or never?) innaccessible. Facebook is good to go. Fanfiction.com is good to go. My admin site is good to go. What’s going on here? Either way, I don’t really plan to visit them on a regular basis or anything, but…yeah. A bit more freedom.

And here’s a pic of my little brother’s wittoh *”little” in cute speak* baby. My nepphew! I swear, Logan looks just like his dad (though maybe not in this image, but, I swear!, trust me on this one). For the sake of Logan and future good relations with my brother and other relatives, I will keep all teasing jokes from this post that siblings have been know on occasion to make towards one another. It’s a shame though, cause I find them terribly amusing at times. Like right now. *sigh*
Mixed-Up Schedules and Face Smacks
November 14, 2006 on 10:32 pm | In Everything, La Vida Inaka, Work | 2 CommentsI was actually thinking yesterday about how long it would take before I managed to get my elementary school visits mixed up.
I now know the answer!
Today I managed to go to the wrong elementary school. I had been all happy because the lessons for the school *the one I thought I was supposed to go to* didn’t involve any extensive planning. It was also one of the two schools that are near my house. I walked in and they were all like “wow, you’re not supposed to be here. Hahhah.” It sucked. I had to bike to the middle school (next door) to have a teacher call up the right school to say I was going to be late, bike back home to get their lesson plan, lament at the schedule that actually did need planning, then ride to school…in the rain.
It wasn’t too much fun.
Oh yeah, and then a second-grade boy who had been hanging out with me earlier in the teachers’ lounge (same kid who smacked my butt and proclaimed that it was, indeed, my butt *in a previous entry*) ran his hand into my hand as he was running away from someone. He went to me for protection, but unfortunately, since I never saw him coming, I hadn’t moved my hand from in front of my face…So I basically got smacked really good. In the face. If that kid wasn’t holding onto my arm like it was his only protection from the kid chasing him, I’m not sure how the outcome would have been. I think the other teachers were just going to see if I was going to blow off the ramming speed smack to the face, or throw the kid out of the window. I honestly do.
And I’m glad to say that I didn’t choose the window tossing…and that I still have a job.

Dear Mom,
November 13, 2006 on 10:39 pm | In Everything | 8 CommentsThank you. I really appreciate the care packages.
…
But could you please explain why you’re sending me candy bars along with the workout videos?

And I’m not really sure how much that Slim-Fast bar balances out all that chocolate.

A Definite Delay
November 5, 2006 on 12:02 pm | In Everything | 1 CommentI forgot to mention that I had been preparing, and am now on vacation. I’ve got some good pics so far, but that will have to wait until I return on Wednesday.
Peace out!
