Schoolwork Before Holidays

I hope everyone (who was celebrating it) had a great Thanksgiving!!!

I have found this holiday season to be obnoxious, though perhaps that has more to do with classes wrapping up and thinking about an imminent move (four weeks to go!).  I’m BURIED in schoolwork, and find myself stuck in a conundrum.  I want the next two weeks to speed by so classes (and finals) will be over with, but with all the work I have to do, I want those next two weeks to really draaag on.  And when I mean “next two weeks”…I mean “one week”, ’cause that’s when these four papers are due.  *crycry*

I’ll have a lovely little present, though, for finishing up the papers.  After my presentation on Thursday, I’m heading out to a concert.  Though I can no longer say that I’ve never been to a concert before this, I can say that it will be my first ever concert in English.  While in Japan, I saw a Pillows concert, as well as the Berryz Koubo concert (ooh, talk about the freaky otaku…).  I also saw Do As Infinity when they came to the US.

I made sure that it would be a good first “hey, I know what they’re saying!” concert, too (more on that later)!

The New Site, The Old Site

While it seems a bit frightful to consider, I’m in the process of designing a new website that is slated to be up and running by Jan 1st of 2009.  Teasmartgarden will stay up, though I can’t say how updates will go.  I have yet to really decide on that.  One way or another, though, time will tell.  This one is just totally reminding me of my time in Japan.  And while this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I feel like topics unrelated to my stay in Japan are deviating from the original purpose of the blog, and thusly, well…kindof lame and pitiful by comparison.

The whole purpose of the site is now complete.  Perhaps I should put it to rest?  Perhaps.  I don’t know.

NaNoWriMo 始め！

Guess it’s time to start up NaNoWriMo.

Was originally just going to write the novel I’ve been fussing over in my head for the past decade or so, but have instead begun thinking that I should put my efforts into a slightly less, ah, emotionally invested story.

Then again, it will never get written if I keep fussing over the details.

And it already has an outline.

Good enough for me.
